One of the biggest hurdles a lot of bloggers face is how, exactly, to monetize their blog.
Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways to do that. It’s a super simple way to start seeing money come in from the work you do every day. In fact, I’ve made a considerable amount of money through affiliate sales!
Jackie and I spent today’s blog workshop talking about how affiliate marketing works, ways you can use it, and a few do’s and don’ts.
And now real quick, as promised – how to make a no-follow link!
When you link to something, the code looks a lot like this –
<a href=”thisismylink.com”>Target Text</a>
In order to make it no-follow, all you have to do is add “rel=nofollow” into the code like this –
<a href=”thisismylink.com” rel=”nofollow”>Anchor Text</a>
You do that by clicking on the “text” tab at the top of your post editor. That will take you to the html version of your post. Just find the link you want to “nofollow” and add the code in.
Now, that’s not hard to do, but there is an easier way! And I’ll show you how to do it… tomorrow! 😉
